The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board lias received the fallowing cable from its London office dated Bth April, advising Smithfield delivered prices at that date as follows:—

N.Z. wethers and maidens, Canterbury quality, selected brands, 561bs and under 6-|d; 57/641bs, s§d; 65/721bs, 4|d! Other brands, 561bs and under, ofd; 57/641bs, sfd; 65/721bs, 4£d. N,Z. ewes, 641bs and under, 3|d. N.Z. lambs, Canterbury quality, 30 lbs .and under, 9£d; 37/421bs, B|d; 43/ SOlbs, SJcl. Seconds, B|d. Selected brands, 361bs and under, 9d; 37/421bs, B§d. Other brands, first quality, 421bs and under, 8-hd. Seconds, 7fcl. Argentine chilled beef: Ox fores, 2§-d; ox hinds, 4|d. Argentine frozen beef: Ox fores 3Jd, hinds 4^d.

Frozen pork: 80/1201bs, 8-1 d; 120/180 lbs, 7M.

Lambs: There is a better tone pre vailing on market, with demand im

proving.l

Mutton: Market weaker. Frozen pork: 80/1201bs.—Market is easier, owing to less demand.

The Board advises that the following prices were being offered on Friday last in Canterbury and Otago for fat stock for export:— Prime woolly lambs: 361bs and under, BJdj 37/421bs, 7Jd; 431bs and over 6Jd. Second quality lambs: 7|d.
