DOG CATCHES A BURGLAR.

A man sentenced at Worcester recently to five years' penal servitude, was stated to have committed 50 robberies. A police witness said he was a vicious man, and in some cases left the gas burner on when leaving houses he robbed. A quantity of jewellery was found at his lodgings, some of which was identified as part of the proceeds of many robberies.
