There is a shortage of referees and a further meeting of the sub-union is to be held next Tlmrsday to make appointments. REFEREES' ASSOCIATION. The Referees' Association met oa Thursday evening. There was an attendance of seven. Mr F. Lill was re-elected president and Mr P. J. Eccleton secretary and treasurer. The question of the shortage of refer(•cs for the coming season was discussed, and it was pqinted.out that the prospects for securing a sufficient number n£ gentlemen to act were much brighter ihan was anticipated.
