Ellesmere Brass Band.

ANNUAL MEETING.

The annual meeting of the above was held at Leeston on Monday evening. Rev. Wm. Grant occupied the chair, and there was a large attendance. Mr H. Breach read the balance sheet which was considered exceedingly satisfactory, arid adopted on the motion of Mr Heybourne. On the motion, of the, treasurer (Mr Breach) the honorarium to the Bandmaster amd the late Secretary (Mr Bayliss) were .ordered to be paid. The committee's report was then rea^d, and dealt with several improve ments required, and 'on past excellent work. This was the fourth annual report, and at its conclusion spoke m eulogy of the , services of Messrs W. W. Gibson as auditor, also Lieutenant Lemon; E.M.R; and other helpers.
