OBITUARY
Miss Jean Mackenzie. At the early age of 49 years, there passed away at Palmerston North, on Monday last an old Clyde girl, in the person of Miss Jean Mackenzie. The daughter of the late Mr & Mis F. Mackenzie (two of our early pioneers) she was born and educated at Clyde. Possessed of a sweet soprano voice, the deceased lady was a favourite on the concert platform, while for some years she was superintendent of the local Presbyterian Sunday School. A brother, Mr Francis Mackenzie, resides at Mornington, Dunedin, and is now the sole survivor of the old Clyde family.
