January 2, 3. —Oamaru Jockey Club (Summer). January 10, 12. —Vincent Jockey Club. January 24—Wairio Jockey Club. Febuary 4.—Tapanui Racing Club, Febuary 12, 14.—Dunedin Jockey Club (Cup) Febuary 18.—Clifden Racing Club. Febuary 26, 27.—Gore Racing Club (Autumn). March 6, 7.—Cromwell Jockey Club. March 21,23.—Oamaru Jockey Club March 28.—Otautau Racing Club. April 4. Tuapeka County Jockey Club. April 4, 6,7.—Riverton Racing Club, April 6.—Beaumont Racing Club. May 13,14.—Southland Racing Club, (Winter). June 3, 4, 6. —Dunedin Jockey Club. (Win'er). Great Bingen and Silk Thread have both definitely retired from the racing track. The death of Mr Arthur Gerrard of Winton removes a very prominent Southland cross-country sportsman. In the winning jockey’s list Hector Gray is leading with 65 wins. There are eleven meetings to be run yet so that a change is not unlikely. i
