FOOTBALL.
The first match of the season will bo played at Omakau on Saturday, when Matakanui and Oturehua meet in a friendly game. At a meeting of delegates with the 0. K F. U. at Dunedin last week it was decided to hold Country Week on August sth (Tuesday) and August 7th (Thursday.) The first match in Dunedin with the British team takes place on June 14th. The O. K. F. CJ. has decided to supply country schools, recommended by the various Sub-unions, with footballs at half cost. —ALEXANDRA— There was a good attendance at the annual meeting of the Alexandra club on Wednesday last. The balance sheet showed a very healthy position —a credit of JEB-* odd- The new ofliccrs are ; President Mr W, Carline; secretary, Mr Curtis ; treas Mr W. Hewitt ; management committee, club captain, Mr K. Campbell, the captain of the senior team and Mr John O’Kane; delegates to subunion, Messrs E. Marslin and Noble.
