HOCKEY
Owing to the snow all hockey matches were postponed on dayAt its meeting last week of the Ladies Hockey Association at Dunedin a letter was received from Vincent Ladies Hockey Sub-association asking that a team be sent on tour through Central Otago.—lt was decided that, in view of the fact that a team will probably be sent to the New Zealand tournament, no promise could as yet be made to send a team through Central Otago, but the matter would be further considered.
Wanted, some kindly disposed person to take 11 or 12 good strapping Edendale girls in hand, and knead the material provided into something resembling a hockey team (remarks “Cigaret” in the ‘Ensign’)• Its a pity something is’nt done, because Edendale is capable of great deeds. One can’t help ruminating on the possibilities of such a scheme, as that suggest ed.
