Thomas A. Edison was late on the job on February 12 for the first time in bis life. He arrived one whole precious hour and five minutes behind schedule rule at his laboratory at West Orange (U.S.A.). as a result of his strenuous celebration of his 80tb birthday the day lie fore. He had gone fo bed much later than usual and arrived at his workshop at five minutes past 9 a.m.. His regular time is 8 o’clock.
