MINING
An extraordinary general meeting of Blacks Gold Mining Company, Limited will be held at Oamaru on Thursday, June 30, for the purpose of considering, and, if thought fit, ppssing the following special resolution:—“ That the company be wound up voluntarily and that R- Finch, of Oamaru, be appointed liquidator for the purpose of such winding up.*' According to schedule, ’the Big fieach G. M. Co- made a practical test of the pipe line last Wednesday afternoon when the water was turned on to the face of the Sugar Loaf. In every respect it proved absolutely satisfactory, and the water has been running continuously ever since.' With the aid of this, men have been working on the tail race, which it is hoped to complete by the end of the week. The Co mpany expect to play 3 inch nozzles on to the face, working two lots of boxes in conjunction therewith* ‘Wakatipu Mail’
