Fixtures for next Saturday are— Roxburgh v Alexandra, and Bannockburn v. Clyde, at the last mentioned place in each case.

The match Cromwell v. Alexandra, at Cromwell on Saturday afternoon, was brought to an abrupt and painful conclusion. Just as play had resumed afu-r the afternoon tea adjournment Mr Alex. McLean, who, as usual, was skipping an Alexandra rink suddenly collapsed on the green and expired. Needless to say the sad and sudden end of such a popular old bowler made a great impression, and it was indeed a mournful team of bowlers that followed the remains of their club mate to Alexandra. The news of his death caused quite a shock throughout the whole county. Clyde, represented by three rinks, visited Roxburgh on Saturday, where (hey had a comfortable win—all the rinks .being seven up. The weather was anything but pleasant.
