A WARNING.
Whether potatoes are to be fed raw or cooked to stock, they must be stored in a. dark, cool place, so that they canrnot turn green. "Greening" improves the value of seed! potatoes, but it sets up a bitter principle, which is very distasteful, and if the stock are forced by hunger to eat green tubers, may db serious harm. Diseased potatoes should never bo fed raw, as the "seeds" of the disease can survive in the dung of the animals, and may be conveyed to a field' where potatoes are to be grown later. Feeding dirty roots of any kind is very unwise', as the presence 'of grit* quickly sets up digestive disturbances.
