The orchestra was a treat in itself, while the dressing and stage management was excellent. The Darkies provided much wholesome fun, while several vocal items and choruses Vere really good. Mr Geo- Spencer made a great hit, but it fell to the lot of Mr John Jamie to get a very flattering reception indeed, several encores being insisted on. Mr Jamie's recitations, both grave and gay, were excellent, while his efforts as Cornerman frequently brought the house down. The dancing of Miss Richards was also much admired. The choir had another good house at Cromwell on Wednesday.
