FRUITGROWERS CO-OP.
The Conference of Fruitgrowers at Clyde on Thursday night last, was attended by delegates from Ettrick, Teviot, Coal Creek, Alexandra, Earnscleugh, Clyde and Cromwell, the Committee of Management and the "Manager, Mr Waight- Mr Bennetts presided, The meeting was not open to the Press, but the Manager kindly supplied us with the following information: — It was decided to continue the pooling the same as last year, subject to the period of pooling being of shorter duration. A strict observance of the grading of fruit is to be enforced. The deduction of £l in every £SO was renewed with the alteration that it be off the nett instead of the gross amount. A suggestion by Mr Michelle to improve the system of pooling was referred to the accountants. Later it will be submitted to the various Associations for consideration.
