MOA GREEK.
On Sept. 29th, the Benedicts held their annual Ball in the School. There was a very large crowd present, both Benedicts and young people, the latter being the guests of the eveningThe music was most suitable, and effective, it being in the capable hands of Messrs A. Campbell, John Stewart and RMcintosh. Dancing lasted till 4 a-- m. Supper was served at n- 30 and it was very tastefully arranged. Mr W. R- Nevill gave a short speech in which he thanked the various ones who had assisted to make the evening a success- In the course of his speech Mr Nevill apologised for the absence, through illness of Mr J- Dundass, who was to have been Chairman at the BallMr Jas- Stuart was M- C- and did his duty in a most capable manner, and the same can be said of Mr Arnott who performed the arduous task of Secretary very capably. All seemed to enjoy themselves very much and many thought it was the largest dance which has been held here formany years.
