Recently it was reported by the New York‘‘World’ that twenty live thousand permits to carry pistols for self-protection had been issued within three months in New York alone. Commenting on this the ‘World says ; Never before has there existed in this city such a situation as exists to day. Never before baa the aver age person, in his hofue. in his place of business, or on the streets, had cause to feel les secure. Yet we are told tliat Prohibition reduces prime and' closes gaols U,y.A. uiiclot Prohibition has had the most appalling crime wave in history. Prohibition has failed. Vote Continuance
