The experience of a Balclutha resident who sent for some of the articles catalogued by the Military Supplies Disposal Board in Wellington was not a very happy one (says the ‘Free Press'). About a week after paying in the money at the local post olhce he received an acknowledgment from Wellington that the money had been received, that orders were being dealt with in order of receipt, and that he would receive the package in due course. Four weeks 1 passed without a further sign 'front’ the obviously overworked department in Wellington and then a package came by post containing less than a third of the articles ordered, the balance being ‘‘soldout.” So far the resident has not received the balanse of his money back, although a fortnight has elapsed since j receipt of the parcel, but he is ‘living ' in hcfe"
