HOSPITAL MATTERS.
A meeting of the Hospital Board is to be held at Clyde on Wednesday week when business in connection with the establishment qf a resident doctor at Lauder will be considered. The loan for the necessary building is £2,000, which means that the two district boards will have to each find £125 yearly for interest and sinking fund. -. This should be cheerfully granted. To show that the people are 111 earnest we have only to mention that 30 of them have guaranteed £lO a year each towards the doctor's salary. They deserve support. A conference of all the Hospital Boards interested in the establishment of the sanatorium at Waipiata will be held in Dunedin on the 27th inst-
