"The famous Sing Prison, New York, has more prisoners than it can hold"-- "New York World," May 27th, 1922. "All the gaols in Southern California, except one are full" "San Francisco Chronicle," June 28th, 1922. "For the first time the State penitentiary at Joliet is overcrowded, the prison roll is 1957" --Chicago Herald," June 9th, 1922. But were'nt we told that Prohibition would empty the goals in U. S. A-? Vote Continuance.
