GOLF.
The Golf Tournament at Roxburgh on Friday and Saturday was played in glorious weather. The links were in perfect order, and the players generally enjoyed the matches immensely. Mr Webb of Cromwell who played, consistently w«ll throughout, had a hollow victory in the championship. A Roxburgh enthusiast has promised a cup for annual competition in this event Results: Bogey Match (gents). McAra (Lawrence) 1 Bogey Match (Ladies). Mrs Moore (Lawrence I Teviot Amateur Championship 36 holes (gents) J. R. Webb (Cromwell) 161 I Arthur (Lawrence) 176 2 D. A- Jolly (Cromwell) 182 3 Burton (Roxburgh) 184 and Stephens (Cromwell) 186 were the next best. Ladies Championship.
