•♦ (By Telegraph) REILLY'S CENTRAL PRODUCE MART. LTD., report The exceptionally wet weather experienced during the week has had a depress: ng effect on the sale of fruits. Full shipments of citrus fruits arrived from Melbourne, choice apples from Otago Central, Canterbury and Nelson ; increased quantities of Narcissi and violets particularly from Auckland Palmerston North, New Plymouth and Christchurch, so that only choice samples are competed for ; stale and inferior are neglected. Owing to the exceptionally cold weather the price of lettuce and cucumbers has suffered. Spring rhubarb is realising high prices. We expect full supplies of citrus fruits pineapples and bananas from Australia, Heavy consignments of onions have arrived from Melbourne. 'Frisco onions are expected next week. Seed and table potatoes are meeting a keener demand. Large supplies of eggs are now coming forward and prices are easier. Brisk demand is being experienced for butter.
