It is a strange fact that most women art niggardly with their stationery. They maj intertain their friends sumptuously, anc wear the costliest raiment. -They may even be extravagant in other respects, but in the matter of stationery they are absolutely stingy, and will cross and recross their pages rather than use another sheet of note-p.ap'w In affairs of this kind men are, as a rrle. lavish and careless, and refrain from rhf iiscourtesy and unkindness of inflicting as dmost unreadable letter on their friend;.
