The aunual report stated that two years working fuily proved the wisdo>m of the establishment of the society in New Zealand. He suggested an amalgamation of all humane societies in" the Empire. Twenty-four awards had,beeu made duiirig the year, consisting of four silver and two bronze medals, four certificates in vellum, and 15 letters of commendation. In teveral instances a very high quality of heroism had bten shown.
