[per press association.] Invercakgill, This day. Among the passengers by the YV'esttralia is Corporal Coutts, of Taranaki, who was one of the recipients of the four scarves presented by the Queen ror conspicuous gallautry in the field. Corporal Coutts won Ins at Koornspruit, the other three going to New South Wales, Canada, and Roberta's Horse. He was with Lieutenant-General French right up to Komati Poort. He speaks highly of the Free State as an agricultural and pastoral country. Water can be obtained anywhere by sinking. He intends to return.
