There was a good attendance of the local buyers, and prices were firmer for both wool and sheepskins, which were cleared at full market rates ; hides and tallow, however, were easier. The following were the prices obtained :—Wool —Catalogues chiefly comprised crutchings and stragglers' fleeces. Crossbred fleece sold up to 4|d, crutchings from 2|d to 4d, crossbred dead 4| : '3,_ scoured half-bred 9|d crossbred Bd, pieces sd. Sheepskins.—Crosabred from 2|d for short-woolled up to for better class, fine crossbred to hogget from 2|d to 4Jd, pelts 3d to Is each. Hides.— Medium weight ox sold from to 4£d, lighter 2f-d to 3Jd, superior cow up to 3£d, station saved from 2-jj-d to 3£d, yearlings 3fd, calf 3fd to 3-Jd per lb ITallow.— Only station packages offered. Rough sold up to l|d, rendered Hu , per lb.
