Wellington, Last night

The Municipal Conference delegates were entert aioed at luncheon to-day at Day's Bay by the Mayor and City Councillors of Wellington.

The Conference held its final sitting to-night, when it was decided to wait upon the Premier to recommend to his notice the resolutions of the Conference.

The Mayors of Dnnedin, Christchurch, Auckland, and Nelson were elected vice-presidents of the Association, and the following were elected to the executive committee: —Mayors of Petone, Melrose, Lower Hutt, Palmerston, and Karori, and Councillor Smith (Wellington). A resolution was carried approving of the Fire Brigades Bill introduced into the House. It was recommended that the Shop Hours Act be altered to allow seaside resorts to have a day other than that chosen by the main centres for the weekly half-holiday.
