The Wellington Amateur Athletic A?S3ciation strongly oppose the entry of Weet, of Ohristchurch, being received for the pole jumping event at the Dunedin ohampionship meeting. J. H. Hempton will be in charge of the Wellington team. McCormiok having reoovered from the injury to his wrist will take part in the weight-lifting events. Several Wellington rapresentatives left yesterday; the remainder, including the oonntry representatives Kingsley and Bailey, leave to-morrow. Wellington's ohauoe of securing the banner is highly thought of, , For the championship at the athletic meeting Roberts of Auokland is shaping very well, and is expeoted to give Batger a olose run for the 440 yards hurdtes.
