The settling over Saturday's racing was satisfactory. Followers of Mr Wilson's stable won heavily over the victories of Strathmore and Zalinski. The following horses have been scratched for the Caulfield Cup :—Leviathan, Havillah, Arinesley, Goldreef, Newton, Lyndhurst, Vengeance, Cuirassier, Chaldean, King Olaf, Paris, and Sir Anthony. At Caulfield this morning Malvolio did a splendid gallop over two miles in 3min 41stc. . For the Caulfield Cup Bungebah has advanced to 4 to 1, and for this event Greygown ie hardening, though 100 to 5 is still to be had about him. The Rebel - has advanced to 6 to 1 for the Derby, while Stromboli has been knocked back to Bto 1. Paris is being supported at 100 to 8 for the Melbourne Cup. (Received October 13, noon) This day. At Flemington this morning Mitre did a great gallop of a mile and a-half in 2min 44sec. Buugabah covered a mile and a quarter in 2min loisec. Stromboli galloped eleven furlongs in 2rain 32seo in splendid Btyle. Carrington and Laverock went a mile and a-half in 2min 48sec. Moonray finished in front of Kofsuth and Trieste in a five-furlong gallop, tho time recorded being lmin Gjsec. Paris did eleven furlongs in 2min 30sec. Highborn, Bel Giorno, and Penance were down this morning, looking well. Forest King has advanced to 100 to 8 for the Caulfield Cup. Dillon has receded to 100 to 10 for the same event.
