THE FREE ASSOCIATION OF EMPLOYERS AND WORKMEN OF HAWKE'S BAY. • rpHIS Association is formed for the purJL poae of establishing permanent and mutually beneficial relations between all classes of employers and workers. 1. To immediately enroll all clasaes of the community. All employers, while not re- , fusing to employ Unionists, hereby pledge " themselves to give the preference to members of this Association when vacancies occur. 2. To establish a Board of Conciliation for settlement of all disputes. This Board to consist of both employers and workers. t 3. To improve tbo conditions of all classes of workers. 4. To establish a Fund for the Protection of Members ; and to establish an Accident Fund for the benefit of the workers. Such funds to be provided by the employers only. 5". To establish, and affiliate with, similar Associations throughout the Colony, -whereby members of this Association will be assured that employment—when offering— shall not bo denied them should they change their abode to other parts of the Colony. 6. No entrance fee or subscription shall j be levied on workers. 7. The entrance foe for employers chall be one pound (£1), »»d the minimum annual subscription ehall be two pounds (£2), but members are expected to contribute in proportion to the stake they hold in the Colony. 8. None but subscribers shall be entitled to vote, and no subscriber shall have more than one vote. 9. A donation of two hundred and fifty pounds (£250) ehall constitute Life Membership, with a permanent seat upon the Counoil. 10. The entrance fees shall be set apart for the Accident Fund. 11. All revenue, other than entrance fees, shall be applied to the Protection Fund. 12. The Counoil shall be empowored to transfer moneys from the Protection Fund to the Accident Fund. 13 The Association shall be governed by a President, Vice-President, end a Council of thirty (30) members, seven to form ft quorum, to bo elected annually from and by tho subscribers.
