IMPORTANT RULING.
CnßisrciuTECH, This day. In Banco to-day Justice Ward upheld tho decision of the Commissioner of Stamps in the caso of Thomas Greenwood (deceased), that a mortgage on property in tho colony was liable to duty under tho Deceased Persons Estate Act, though at tho time of tho mortgagee's death both mortgagee and mortgagor wero resident in England.
