James Nolan, charged with drunkenness, and for creating a broach of tho Peace in the Settlers' Anns Hotel, was fined os and costs or 24 hours on the first charge, and 20s and costs, or seven days gaol on tho second chargo.

It appears thi.t a Maori boy named T\ atcno invited McKenzie" s boy down to the plantations near the Pah which he said belonged to his father. While enirasrcd iv the melon patch tney were scc'nV plaintiff and Kate, who chased tho lad to his home, and high words took place among them, during which Anitana was thrown clown, and the female defendant took part in the quarrel by rubbing her hands covered with flour on his face. Mr Guy for plaintiff aud Mr Gould for defendant. Roderick was fintd 20s, with 4b costs aud 10s Od solicitor, or iv default one month. Martha 10s, without costs, or 48 hours' in default. William was awarded 40s, with 3s costs, solicitor 10s Gd, or ono month in default
