January. 26— Go-Ahead, e.s., for Wellington via tho coast.
26 —Fairy, s.e., for Blackhead. 26—Wairoa, s.s., for Wairoa, Passongora—Mrs Beatie; Misses McGowan, Allen, Greening (2), and Jonos; Captain. Preooe, Messrs J. P. Hamlin, H. Baker, Cohon, Craughton, Sturdy, Powdrell, Jamos, Lord, Black, and a number of others.
Tho s.s. Sir Donald, Captain J. Quinlin, returned from Blackhead and Waimarama at 6.30 p.m. jeaterday. The Union Company's s.s. Southern Cross, Captain Spinks, arrived from Wellington at 11 o'clock lost night. Sho left tthe latter port at 4 p.m. on Tuosday, and experienced fine weather along tho coast. Off Castlepoint sho encountered a thick fog, and was compelled to lay to for four hours. The Cross was brought inside this morning, and is now discharging a quantity of cargo, including transhipments ex Hurunui and Coptic from London. She will etoam Northwards at 4 p.m. to-day. The s.s. Go-Ahead, Captain Plumley, sailed for Wellington at 3.30 p.m. yesterday. On her way down she will call at Castlopoint and White Rock. The s.e.Waitaki, Captain Pennal, arrived from Wellington early this morning, and will continue her voyage Northwards this evening, leaving the breastwork at 4.40 p.m. Tho s.s. Fairy, Captain H. Nelson, steamed for Blackhead last night with a load of station stores.
The topsail schooner Awarua, arrived from Oamaru early this morning with a load of broadstuffs, which she is now discharging at the breastwork.
The s.s. Australia is calling in to-day at Tuparoa for a load of wool, which she will tranship to the Trowbridg-p. She is duo here early to-morrow morning, and should eail for Wellington at noon. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's B.c. Coptic leaves Wellington this afternoon, and should arrive here early to-morrow morning. She is bringing some 64 tons of original cargo, after discharging which sho will take in a load of wool, tallow, pelts, and frozen mutton for London, whither she sails from Lyttelton on Saturday week, tho sth February. The Union Company's Saturday steamers will both bo up to time. The wairarapa leaves Auckland at noon to-day, and tho Waihora leaves Wellington at 6 p.m. tomorrow. Passengers will leave the wharf in the Boojumn at the usual hours. Tho s.s. Ohau leaves Dupedin on Sunday noxt, calling at all tho grain porta. Sho is due here on Friday, 14th prox. The ship Enterpe pnila for Lyttolton tonight in ballast.
