ARRIVAL OF THE KAIKOURA.

Arrived—Kaikoura, from Plymouth via Cape Town, after a splendid passage of 39 days 7 hours 49 minutes, including stoppage of 1 day 5 hours 27 minutes, making the steaming time 38 days 2 hours 22 minutes. She brings 2500 tons cargo for all ports, 274 bags mails from Plymouth aud 10 bags from Cape Town, and 300 passengers, all of whom have enjoyed excellent health. They presented Captain Crutchley, officers, and steward with testimonials. A female infant of Mrs Phillips, a steerage passenger, died on September 30th. The Kaikoura left Plymouth at 2.15 p.m. on August 28th and arrived at Cape Town at 5.12 p.m. on September 16th; left again at 1.48 p.m. on the 17th; had fine weather; sighted the Snares at 3 p.m yesterday, and reached here at 10.4 a.m. to-day.
