Whilo excursionists wero at tho Heads yesterday, a girl who was wading near tho breakwater was caught by a wavo and swept round tho end of tho mole, a distanco of thirty yards to the other side. A young man named Win. Bruce rescued her by plunging in, but beforo doing so he threw off his vest with a gold watch in one of the pockets, and on his return his vest was missing. It is supposed to have been carried away from tho rocks by tbe waves. This makes tho second lifo Bruce has saved, tho other one being that of Wilcocks, ut Blenheim, in 1870.
