Tho trial of Mr Stead and tho others concerned in tho Lily Armstrong case was concluded to-day, when Mr Stoad and Mrs Jarrott were found guilty of abduction, Messrs Booth and Jacques being acquitted. Senteneo on tho prisoners was deferred pending tho result of tho trial for indocent assault in connection with tho same case.

Count yon Hatzfeldt, who replaces Count yon Munstor as ambassador for the German Empire at the Court of St. James, arrived to-day from Berlin. New Zealand frozon mutton is firm at 4Jd per lb.
