GencraljjqWolseley telegraphs from Dongola that a letter from Gordon has arrived at Dcbbah to-day, but the contents havo not yet transpired. Letters from General Gordon received by General Wolseley at Debbah dated Khartoum, November 4, confirm the news of the massacre of Colonel Stewart, and Messrs Power and ncrbin, by the rebels at Wad-el-Homar. General Gordon expresses his delight at hearing of the advance of the British expedition and hopes to bo able to bold out until its arrival. He states that ho continues with the steamers to harass tlio enemy whenever they approach Khartoum, and adds that the Mahdi is only a day's journey distant from that city.
