Subscriptions due to the Napier Land and Building Society No. 5 are requested to be paid at 7 o'clock this evening to admit of winding up of society. Volunteer recruits parade for drill at the orderly room at 7.30 this evening. '' La Mascottc'' will be repeated at the Theatre Royal to-night by the Opera Company, commencing at 7.45. Messrs Hoadley, Lyon and Co. sell at their sheep yards at Hastings at 2 p.m. tomorow, without reserve, 2000 Merino and cross-bred sheep. An excursion train for the opera leaves Waipukurau at 4.55 pm. to-morrow, arriving in Napier at 7.45 p.m., returning as far as Hastings after the opera. Mr Lyndon will sell Wairoa apples, cheese, Canterbury flour, tea, ale, harmonium, furniture, and other goods by auction at his mart on Wednesdry.

The Ror. Dr. Kelynack, of Sydney, will lecture in Trinity Wesleyan Church on Wednesday evening on behalf of the South Sea missions.

Messrs Banner and Liddlc sell ladies' and gentlemen's boots, shoes, and slippers, and a quantity of furniture by auction at their mart on Thursday. The N.Z. Jacobs is in receipt of a new stock of gold and silver laces and braids, suitable for ladies dresses.
