SAMOA DESIRES ANNEXATION TO NEW ZEALAND.

Mr Lnndon, formerly M.H.R. for the Bay of Islands, writes from Samoa that a great deal of discontent prevailed there amongst both Europeans and natives Avith the nature of the Government, and that a petition Avould be generally signed praying that the island should be annexed to Now Zealand. The matter has been laid before Sir George Grey, avlio recommends that a form of petition be cjra,wn up under the Annexation Act of last session and forwarded to Mr Lundon to obtain signatures.
