DANGER TO PEDESTRIANS.

[TO THE EdITOK OF THE DAILY TELEGRAPH.] Sib,— If somebody is not run over some night in the endeavor to leave the railway station I shall bo greatly surprised. Although in your columns repeated attention has been called to the want of cab regulatian no steps have been taken to preserve the safety of pedestrians. On enquiry I have ascertained that the Corporation has no authority in the matter, the land around the station belonging to the Government. The railway authorities, apparently, think it is not worth while to do anything until the "yard" is fenced in, when they could enforce a license fee on cab owners. Consequently, for the sake of a few pounds a year, limbs of railway travellers are jeopardised.—l am, ku., J l J. T. August 31, 1883.
