THE RABBITS.
[To the Editor of tiik Daily Telechiapii.] g IE) —As I take an interest in the above question I thought I would drop a few lines to yem to act as 11 possible -vvai'uiiiy to the eliecpfarmers of Ilawlcc's Bay. Tlio squatter* are not very popular with the working classes and, as I see there is a proposal to employ rabbitcrs on the provincial boundary and in other places, they had better be careful and get trustworthy menmen who will conscientiously try to keep the rabbits back, and not deliberately and with malice aforethought surreptitiously convoy rabbits to a safe breeding ground within the province. There are men who havo personal antipathy to some of our runholders who would not scruple to do it. —I am, &c, j August 31st, 18S3.
