The steamer Maori, Capt. Anderson, returned from Mohaka and Wairoa at 1.30 o'clock this morning, bringing a load of •wool, which she transhipped to the Wave Queen later on. She will probly get away again for Wairoa to-morrow night. The s.s. Hannah Mokau arrived here this morning from Gisborne and Auckland, and ■was berthed at the breastwork. From the former place she brings 82 bales of wool consigned to the New Zealand Shipping Company, and a large threshing machine for Messrs Kinross and Co., besides some general cargo. She is to steam for Wellington early to-morrow morning, and will return to the North by the .West Coast. Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co., are her agents. The s.s. Sir Donald steamed for the coast last evening for a load of wool from Blackhead. The Union Company's launch Boojum left for Wairoa at 11 o'clock this morning. The s.s. Kiwi is telegraphed as having left Castle Point late last night, and will probably arrive here to-night or early to-morrow morning. She is announced to leave for Wellington again at 5 p.m. to-morrow. The p.s. Manaia took her departure for Wairoa at 11 o'clock this morning, taking passengers and cargo. The s.s. Rotorua, which left here at 1 o'clock yesterday, is telegraphed as having arrived at Wellington at 8.30 o'clock this morning. The s.s. Southern Cross, Capt. Bernech, is not now expected to arrive until Saturday morning early. The three-masted schooner Frank Guy, Capt. J. P. Balle, arrived at Westport from here last evening, and will be leaving again on Friday with a load of coal for her owner, Mr J. H. Vautier.
