AUCKLAND.
December 9. The Auckland Harbor Board have leased their allotments near the new railway station for fifty years, at prices ranging from £4 to over £10 per foot per annum, realising an annual rental of £2600. The prices are the largest ever obtained in Auckland for leasehold property per foot. Among the buyers were the New Zealand Shipping Company, the Tramway Company, and Mr Thomas Russell. Yesterday the latter gentleman gave £1000 premium on the lease of the coffee palace. Tbe site immediately opposite was 6old last week. A tin company is being formed to work the deposits of tin ore found on Howe's Island.
