Diosma assumed the lead at the start, and was never caught, winning by a short neck from The Poet, Kakapo being a good third, and Rore several lengths behind. The totalizator dividend inside the paddock was £3, and outside £3 18a. Time, 2 mins. 27£ sees. A protest was entered against Diosma on the grounds of foul riding, but it was disallowed. HANDICAP HURDLE RACE. Canard 1 Nikau 2 Liability 3 Canard won hands down by a length, both Nikau and Liability whipping down the straight. Time, smins. 43sec8. The dividend in the totalisator inside was £l 14s, and outside £1 18s.
