SYDNEY.
September 30. Tbe strike of iron workers in this city has been virtually settled, the masters having conceded an advance of one penny per hour upon the present scale of wages. October 2.
The New South Wales revenue last quarter amounted to £1,750,000, being an increase of £41,500 compared with the September quarter of 1881. The principal increases are in Customs and railways. The revenue for the year ended 30th September was £7,250,000, an increase of £878,000 compared with the corresponding period of 1880-81.
