[by cable.] London, September 21. Consols remain afc 100&. The New Zealand loans are unchanged. The bank reserve is £11,800,000. The hank rate remains afc 5, and the market rate at 4i per cent. Colonial breadstuffs are dull fc last quotations. There is a good demand for hides, ond full prices are obtainable. Australian tallow is firm. Melbourne, September 22. Messrs C. S. Ross and Co., of this city, report having sold the cargo of kauri timber ex Robin Hood afc the following average prices :—Per 100 feefc super—Sawn boards, 1-inch, 225; dressed boards, |-inch, 235. Per 100 feefc lineal—tounged and groved flooring, 6 x f-inch, 9s 9d j ditto, 4 x 8s 9d. Adelaide, September 22. Wheat is rather firm at 7s ; town flour per ton £14 15s, and country brands £13 10s. There is nothing doisg in the market for freights.
