BALCLUTHA.
April 6. A fatal accident has occurred at the bridge being constructed here through the breaking of a chain used to keep tbe cylinder in position while sinking. John Russell, one of the workmen, was thrown off the plank into the river and drowned, at 8 o'clock last night. The body has not been recovered.
