MELBOURNE.

The Orient Company's steamship Chimborazo, which recently went ashore in Backstairs Passage, has arrived here safely. The intercolonial yachting regatta takes place in Port Phillip on Saturday. For the grand challenge race, over a fifteen mile course, there are several entries, including the Taniwha and the Victorian yacht Janet.
