LIVERY AND BAIT CUPBOARDS.
To the Lditor : Sir, — I am rather mixed concerning the case of Bain v. Kirby (causes stupidity), I cannot make out whether Bain rode his horse into the cupboard, or led him in, if not, where was the horse. This kind of thing would have astonished old Mother Hubbard, who went to the cupboard, as Bain was anything but bare. Who'd a' thought a hundred years ago that in 1875 a man could take a live horse into a cupboard. That animal would be a valuable addition to Wilson's circus as he appears to know his way about. He is an awfully jolly old horse. I saw him being driven past a certain wood and coal yard the other d.iy and notwithstanding his being in the shafts, he turned his head round and smiled a knowing smile at his driver. I wanted to buy him ; but my wife said " Oh, no you don't ; that horse knows too much, ami you ar.e mean enough already, and I don't want to see a mean horse prancing round here. " And considering that the old girl generally bosses it over me, I changed my mind. — I am, &c, Bim.'iN.
