CONCERT AT OTAHUHU.

Ok Thursday evening last a complimentary concert was given to Mr. If. lliggms, late master of the public school Lore. Mr. Higi^ina has been obliged to rotire from tho mastership of tho school, owing to continued ill health, and being about to remove to a more favourable climate, a number of his friends embraced tho opportunity of testifying their appreciation of him by holding a concert as above. Tho musical part of tho arrangements were under tho leadership of Mr. (i. Bailey, to whom, and tho Lubes and gentlemen who kindly assisted him, great praiie is clue. Judging from the largo audience present it may fairly bo presumed that Mr. lliggms has gained tho goodwill of a large circle of the residents in this and ihc adjoining districts. Tho concert was brought to a cloio a little after 10 o'clock, when the hall was cleared for dancing, and tho votaries of the fantastic enjoyed thoiaaelves till early morn.
