AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET.

| Mr. Alfred Buckland's Report. —At the Haymarltet on Saturday last fodder was .plentiful, aud the higher values noticed in last week's report were fully sustained. Best* quality brought from 5s to 5s 9d the cwt. Horse stock were in fair inquiry; best draught brought 30Z. to 40Z.; medium draught horses, from 11V. to 181.; finbroken draught stock, from IH. to 20/.; buggies, 151. 10s to 24Z. 10s.—At Keinuera, on Thursday, there were very few store cattle brought forward. Dairy cows were plentiful, and at lower values. Fat cattle were in full supply—lo6 head* sold. At commencement of sale prices ruled low, good animals averaging about 233 the 1001b., but improved fully 2s 6d the 1001b. as thc,sale proceeded. Sheep were in usual numbers : above 700 sold. Prices were higher from'ls to 2s each, half-breds bringing fully 3£d the Ib. Pigs were in less supply than usual, and met with a very free sale. Hunter and Nolans Report. —Horses: There has been a good muster, and an improvement in the description. A large number were entered for sale by auction at the Durham Yards on Saturday, but principally light harness horses, which Avere keenly competed for, nearly all of which were quitted at prices varying from 102. 5s to 201. ; hacks 'from 61. 2s 6d to 81. 7s 6d. No really firstclass draught offered. Cattle : The market this week.has been thinly supplied with with-stores, for which a demand has existed at .an advanced rate. Dairy cows offered* in excess of requirements,* and prices receded, from 20s to 30s per head. Fat cattle were in full supply, but mostly of second • rate quality. Top sorts met with brisk competition, which is likely to be the case for some time, as really well-fatted beasts are scarce, and the few holders are disinclined "to sell at current rates. Dairy cows sold from 8/. to 9/. ss; yearlings and eighteen-months-old sold from 37s 6d to 21. 17s 6d; beef from 24s to 27s 6d per 1001b. Sheep offered in limited numbers, and mostly of inferior description; vendors looking for extreme rates several pens were withdrawn. Those of medium and good quality sold readity at from 12s 6d to 17s 3d; lambs, 11s 6d each. ■ Pigs : The market was moderately supplied with well-bred store pigs, whiob. met with ready sale at full rates. Fat pigs were scarce aud sold high.
